I Made My First Masks!

We are getting calls, texts and lots of NextDoor inquiries from people who want to help. Listen, you do not have to have experience sewing to help out. If you have a sewing machine--you're half way there! For those who do not have a sewing machine, you can order supplies, cut fabric for masks, assemble face shields. Everyone can do something, and you do not need to leave your home to help.

Yesterday, Vanessa dropped off supplies on Priscilla's porch. Priscilla, who already had a sewing machine, enlisted her entire family in the planning and production process. By end of day they delivered a box of masks to the porch of a healthcare provider who then was able to get masks in the hands of healthcare workers as they started the evening shift.

Many thanks to Priscilla, Sergio, Rebecca and Octavio!
